I started on this 9" x 12" scratchboard earlier this year and ended up putting it aside before completing it, so last week when looking through my boards I decided to get to work and finish this one.  Most of the work on this board has been done with a fibreglass brush.

I have been in painting mode for the past couple of weeks which certainly is a change from doing scratchart. My grandson took a photograph of his surfboard lying on the beach and I couldn't resist doing a painting of it for him.  It's now time to get back to "scratching".

A couple of my recently completely scratchboards.

"Hands of Friendship"  - reference photo from my friend Herman Fox @ FlickR.
I used a tattoo needle to do the skin of the hands and arms and a craft knife for the little bluebird.

Cheetah Cub "Astro" - reference photo Steve Tracey @ FlickR.
Lots of fibreglass brush work on this one.
