Intense Concentration - Finished....Not Quite.

Although you wouldn't notice I have done hours more work on this and I am considering it done, even though I took photos of this piece in the sun and in the shade unfortunately I was unable to get a photo that shows the true colours.

As of today, Saturday 1 May,  I have been doing some more work to this piece, hopefully the new work will show up in a photo that I will take tomorrow.

Intense Concentration - WIP

I haven't binned this one yet!!!!  Here's where I am at so far and I still have a ver long way to go.  I'm not keen on colouring scratchboard myself but do admire coloured work done by others.

How good does scratchboard look when framed?

I collected a few of my boards from the framers today and was happy with the result, although I think the framing for "Ginger" is my favourite, of course they all look better in real life!

Scratchboard - WIP

After quite a few more hours work although I still have a long way to go so will keep plodding on.

I have started on my most challenging board ever and am already having doubts and thinking I have "bitten off more than I can chew" with this one.   For a title maybe "Intense Concentration,"  I have a long way to go to complete this board which is on a 12" x 16" board.

Scratchboard in Newsletter.

It was a complete surprise when I logged on this morning to read a message on one of the Aussie painting lists I am a member of that my scratchboard "Cooling Off" was featured in the Wet Canvas Newsletter with the work of an amazing scratchboard artist "Lorna Hannett".  I knew nothing of this and therefore it was a great start to the day.
